The NHS and the NIHR pay me a salary to be an academic medical doctor.
I am co-founder and CEO of Open Health Care UK and a director at Better Data. I do not currently take any pay for these roles but do have shares in Open Health Care UK and may take pay in the future.
I have received expenses and hospitality (accommodation, food and drink, travel costs) from HSJ, EHI, Macmillan, NPSA, Department of Health, RCP, and the Anglo-French Medical Society.
At medical school I received a Heller Bursary to pay for my French lessons. My Health Informatics MSc was partially funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Scholarship.
