I am chair of HaemSTAR, a UK charity promoting research in non-malignant haematology. Through HaemSTAR, I am running the RAPIDO project (www.haemstar.org/RAPIDO) which is funded by AstraZeneca. This funding is for costs associated with the project but not my salary. There is £5,000 allocated for travel to conferences that I intend on using, but this has not yet been used. This remains an investigator-led project and the company do not have access to the data.
I have received royalties from Karger for writing the FastFacts book: "CAR T-Cell Therapy in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma". This had no pharmaceutical company funding.
